My answer is this. Microsoft and Dr. Dvorak have provided a keyboard layout where
It can be installed in less than 30 seconds. It costs nothing. No special equipment is needed other than a few files that are free. The keyboard can be returned to the Qwerty or any other layout in 30 seconds or less.
What else do you want? I can't imagine how there could be an improvement short of someone to hit the keys for you. They wouldn't do what I wanted! And they would have to be fed!
If you are looking for a way to keep from having to learn to type this is not your site. If learning to type is too much "hassle" then you are not going to find help here.
I have a scanner and it does a great job of scanning in text if you have a good copy to scan. I use it sometimes. It does not replace typing. Perhaps voice typing?
A lot of people make a living off of special equipment. I am sure most of it has a place. There are many people who can not use a keyboard at all. They need help. I need the keys where I can reach all the letters. I can not even imagine what I would ask for other than the single-handed Dvorak if I had a fairy story wish. Can you?
If you find something better than keys where I can reach them please let me know.
