Locate the Q and Z keys.
Strike both the Q and the Z with the index finger.
The Q and may seem difficult at first. They will seem to be a far reach. You may
feel that you are going to lose your home keys. Thinking of the Z as just left
of the A may help. The Q is just to the left of the period. You may look at first.
Many teachers don't want you to look at the keys. Do it. You will not be able
to type fast if you continue to look. It may help you to get started. These lesson
are more difficult than real text.

TIPS---- It is OK to look at the keys at first. Typing teachers of the old school
may disagree. You will stop looking as speed picks up. You may want to feel
your way across the A to the Z at first. That is OK. You may want to reach for
the period, which is easy to find, and slide left to the Q at first. Don't forget
that you may put Velcro on the outer keys to mark them. The Q and U combo
will be a very common occurance in real text. It will become easy. I am astounded
that I seldom miss the qu combo. Your fingers will float freely above the
keyboard and you will return to the home keys with ease and you will wonder
why you ever worried about losing the home keys. You have my word on it!
