As you can see by looking at the style in the head of this file I have commented out the width definition. Now the browser will decide the width. That is probably the best way to do it. There should be a law that everyone in the world has to have a browser just like the one I use. The problem here is that we don't have complete control of what the page looks like. I guess it would be a good idea to concentrate on content and not worry too much about looks. When I look for something to cure my toothache I don't worry too much about what the page looks like.
It seems right to me to let the browser decide the width. You will note that I have set the right margin above. I have set the right margin at 125 to match the left margin. You might want to play with these figures to see what the result is. This seems attractive and well balanced and is certainly simple. KISS!
This page is the right way to do it I think. It has a 125px margin on each side and the bowser and display monitor are in charge. I will make the open page here have equal margins on each side!
